NBA’s Glen Davis: I knew Alton Sterling, he ‘wouldn’t hurt a fly’

Baton Rouge native Glen “Big Baby” Davis says Alton Sterling, the 37-year-old black man killed by two Louisiana cops early Tuesday, was a “great guy” who “wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

The NBA player — last on the Clippers during the 2014-15 season — told TMZ Sports that he met “Big Alton” years ago, telling the site that sometimes he would give Sterling CDs to sell.

“Great guy, big personality,” Davis told TMZ Sports of Sterling. “CDs were his way to make income to support his family. Not a guy who would use violence at all.”

On Tuesday, a chilling cell phone video surfaced that showed two cops, who have since been placed on paid administrative leave, body slamming Sterling against the hood of a car before flinging him to the pavement, after an anonymous caller claimed the father of three had a gun and had threatened him.
